But how exactly did DCM EMBA Metering & Control NV come into being? Below is a brief account of our history.
DCM NV
1933: establishment by Mr De Craene and Mr Marsily of "DCM nv" in Antwerp as a supplier to the automotive and petroleum industries. DCM is the abbreviation of "Etablissementen De Craene en Marsily nv".
1987: acquisition by Finco nv. Meanwhile, a branch was also opened in the Netherlands.
1989: acquisition of "F.A. Sening'' in Belgium, a subsidiary of the tanker appendage manufacturer of the same name in Germany. Due to lack of space, DCM moves to Waarloos (current location) where there is sufficient space to build garages and workshops for the tank truck division.
EMBA TECHNIEK BV
1930: establishment of "Emba Techniek bv" under the name "Arnold I. van den Bergh's Handelmaatschappij" as a technical trading company of the "NV Emba", a well-known Rotterdam company in the packaging and timber trade industry.
1951: due to considerable growth in trading activities, the import and trading activities are separated from the manufacturing department. The activities continue under the name "NV Emba Agenturen".
1970: due to the company's many technical activities, the company name is changed to "Emba Techniek bv" . The company moves from Rotterdam North to a larger branch in Rotterdam South. New branches are also opened in Germany and Belgium.
1986: "Emba Techniek bv" is sold to the investment company Geveke Group. The company moves to new premises in Dordrecht.
DCM EMBA (Metering & Control NV)
2000: Finco buys the shares of "Emba Techniek bv". Due to the synergy between both companies, "DCM EMBA" becomes a strong Benelux-focused company to serve customers even more efficiently and with more added value.
2007: Paul Bogaers becomes owner of "DCM EMBA" through a management buy-out. The Beneluxisation takes further shape and the main pillars of the company are professionalised even further.
2009: DCM EMBA's activities in the terminal, depot and tank truck branch are centralised in Waarloos.
2012: establishment of the new centralised company "DCM EMBA Metering & Control NV".

If necessary to achieve the set objectives, the personal data on the customer will be shared with other partners (of DCM EMBA Metering & Control nv) in the European Economic Area who are directly or indirectly connected with DCM EMBA Metering & Control nv or any other partner of DCM EMBA Metering & Control nv. DCM EMBA Metering & Control nv guarantees that these recipients will take the necessary technical and organisational measures for the protection of the personal data.
Period of saving
The personal data processed for customer management will be retained for the period required to comply with legal requirements (including for accounting purposes).
Right to view, correct, delete, restrict and object to personal data and their transferability
The customer has right at all times to view his/her personal data and can have them corrected if they are incorrect or incomplete, have them deleted, restrict their processing and object to the processing of the personal data concerning him/her based on article 6.1 (f), including profiling based on the provisions.
Moreover, the customer has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, customary and machine readable form) of his/her personal data and have the personal data forwarded to another company.
To be able to exercise the above-mentioned rights, the customer is requested to:
update the settings of his/her customer account him/herself; and/or
The customer has the right to object free of charge to any processing of his/her personal data for direct marketing purposes.
Complaint
The Customer has the right to submit a complaint to the Belgian Privacy Commission (Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels - commission@privacycommission.be).
